Winter storm 2023 update: Second snowstorm headed to Midwest and Northeast

Another snowstorm will arrive quickly and the cold air may help it deliver a stronger punch.

Significant travel disruption could result from this storm.

This is anticipated to be the most problematic from an aviation perspective.

Snow will hit the Ohio Valley by January 24 night and eventually the Northeast by January 25 as the storm moves further.

From southern Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, and southern Michigan to Pennsylvania and New York to Maine, 3-6 inches of snow is expected.

On January 26, the storm will continue to have an impact farther west despite dropping the most snow in New England.

From northern New York to interior Maine, where a foot or more of snow may accumulate, the snowfall will be the heaviest.

This storm throughout the middle of the week may provide more snowfall in the last few days of January.
